Quotation to improve Branching scenario and-or Course presentation with iframe embeder

I would like to know if it could be possible to add iframe embedder in course presentation & branching scenario, in order to use them in Moodle.

(The goal is to to be able to use some Moodle activity with iframe in H5P (course presentation & / or branching scenario), to allow for example to upload an odt, doc or ods xls in a assignment activity embedded in H5P - please note that this solution maybe need that Moodle could give iframe url of these activities, we are investigating this, and this is not asked for this quotation).

If yes, someone that could offer this prestation could tell me approximatively how much does it cost ? (you can contact me if you want here : https://www.open-elearning.com/contact ) And I will check after with the customer to see if it could be ok and if he need a more detailed quotation. If it could be ok, we also hope that this improvment will be reversed to the community, if the project leaders thinks that it's a good idea.

I hope this is the right place to post this message, I'm really sorry if it's not, if someone could tell me where I can post it, thanks a lot.

User story:

As an author, I want a good ergonomy in my H5P course presentation or Branching Scenario on Moodle. I can need somme Moodle activty that are not possible with H5P (e.g. ask to the student to upload a file that the teacher will evaluate), or others nice things that are in the web). But to improve the ergonomy, I don't want that he has to go on other url (today solution is to put an url in H5P CP or BS to go to the Moodle activity), and after, have to come again on H5P Course Presentation or Branching Scenario. So if he could upload his document directly in H5P it could be great to avoid him a difficult navigation.

Technical solution :

Adding in Moodle the possibility to have an iframe builder for activities with a new Moodle plugin and having the possibility in H5P CP and BS to add an iframe, as we can add a video for example or an exercice. A lot of authoring tools allow this possibility.

Thanks a lot,

Best regards,

Hi Pepe,

The current plan for Iframe embedder is to stop supporting it altogether because it isn't responsive. However I will forward your request to the core team for further checking.

Hi Pepe,

I just got word from the core team that this indeed is on it's way to getting decomissioned. I read in your post here https://h5p.org/comment/26881#comment-26881 that you are willing to fund even for a non-official version. For changes such as this I suggest that you find a developer that can help you with the changes. You can provide these documentation https://h5p.org/developers to help them with how H5P works.

Dear BV52,

Thanls a lot for your reply and tips. Do you know if there is good pratice to find and how I can find an H5P developper ? Can I post for example a message on the dev forum https://h5p.org/forum/2 (or it's not recommended) ? (I have already contacted H5P official partners but I can't have replies from Joubel, I don't know why, maybe a problem of blacklisted mail or they are overbooked)

Best regards

Hi Pepe,

Posting the dev forum is your best bet and include your e-mail address it is one of the least busy forums. This forum (feature request) is a bit busy so posts will get burried under newer posts. I'm sorry admittedly the core team is a bit backed up. There are several big updates in the past few months which has kept them busy.

Hi BV52, ok thanks a lot for your reply.

The post has been posted here, in the dev forum : https://h5p.org/node/506295
