Importing existing Contents into Column

Hi,

is it possible to import existing contents (like Course Presentation) into Column?

Thank you

Hi hsl-luzern,

I'm afraid importing contents into Column is not possible. Although there is a workaround by using the Iframe embeder and embedding the content that you created. To do this copy a part of the embed code from your Course Presentation i.e. https://h5p.org/h5p/embed/######. Here's a simple sample of an Iframe embedder in Column with an audio recorder as the embedded activity.

Hi BV52,

thank you for your answer, that's pretty cool! I don't understand exactly yet what part of the embed code to copy. And what's the difference to copy just the URL adress.

thank you

Hi hsl-luzern,

I edited my sample above to better explain this :-)

The embed code that is generated by the embed button will look like this: <iframe src="https://h5p.org/h5p/embed/219007" width="1048" height="484" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe><script src="https://h5p.org/sites/all/modules/h5p/library/js/h5p-resizer.js" charset="UTF-8"></script>. You have to remove most of it and leave this part https://h5p.org/h5p/embed/219007.

If you use URL it will embed the whole page including the heading with the H5P logo, links and more. The embed code will only embed the content part of the page. In the sample I created you will see that the first embeded object uses the embed code and the second uses the URL.

I hope this helps if you have further questions feel free to post it here.

that was really helpful! But there is one thing I don't understand:

I embedded a Documentation Tool in the iFrame Embedder. It works fine (screenshot 1). But below the Documentation Tool there is a whole blank page (screenshot 2) that was't existing in the original and wich is very useless. Why does this happen?

Thanks al lot

Hi hsl-luzern,

You would have to adjust the height of the Iframe container in the editor. As you can see in my sample content the first iframe is 300px and the second is 700px if I'm not mistaken. It does have some trial and error factor in it but once you get the hang of it you will have a general idea on the size.
