Dictation quotation marks

I'm trying to create a dictation exercise, and when the text in the "text that should be written" box starts with a set of quotation marks, something strange happens—on the student's end, even if the student types the entire sentence correctly, it always says that the student has made at least one mistake. When the student clicks "show solution," it shows a blank error box at the very beginning of the sentence, as if the student missed a space before the quotation marks or something. I have gone back and double-checked to make sure I didn't accidentally insert a space before the quotation marks, and I didn't. I'm not sure what H5P thinks the test-taker is doing wrong.

I'm using H5P.com in Google Chrome on a Windows 10 desktop computer, no known bugs or errors on my end that could be causing this.

Hi uwmlrc,

Can you please provide a sample URL I just tried this and everything is working. You can check this here and here.

Answer is: This is a test.

Apologies for the audio I can't find my test audios :-)

Hi uwmlrc!

It's probably a bug with sentences that start with some punctuation. I'll fix it.

Best,

Oliver

Hi again!

I just checked my latest version of H5P.Dictation, and it seems I already fixed this issue about half a year ago :-) The update has already been code reviewed, but obviously not been released yet.

Best,
Oliver

Hi Oliver,

Thanks for the guidance I can now reproduce the issue. I'll ask for an update from the core team and will get back to you.
