Summary slide and completion in xAPI

BV52's picture
Hi I built, Course Presentation using images and anchors but found even raching to the end of slide, it does not display the summary slide and also does not fire completed event of xAPI. May I ask you what wrong I might be doing? Ideally last slide in the Course Presentation should fire the completed event, right? Thanks & regards Harish Kumar
Hi Harish, Did you by any chance disable the Summary Slide or enabled the Active surface mode? If your answer to both questions is a no, please share a link of your content (with download enabled) so that we can check. -BV52
Hi, Neither active surface mode was disabled nor the summary slide. I am developing on local machine so can not give you access but I have downloaded files for your review. Is there a way I can send these files to you via forum or email? Case 1 - file learn-the-shapes-13-with-single-choice.h5p where I have two slides of images, one slide of dialogue card and last slide is single choice set question. In this case I can see the summary slide and in the xAPI statement completion is set to true when user navigate to the last slide. Case 2 - file learn-the-shapes-13.h5p. In this I removed the single choice set question slide and it stopped displaying the summary slide as well as nt triggering the completion event also. You said that activating the active surface mode will also cause H5P not to display the summary slide and completion event. Is this expected behaviour for course presentation when active surface mode is enabled. If yes then can you advise how can we know that user completed the course? Thanks & Regards Harish Kumar

Hi BV52,

Sorry for hijacking your topic but there's a strange thing happening. I am trying to post a new topic but instead of appearing a new forum topic, I am seeing it in my account's page as a new content. Is this normal? (The link to the topic I'm trying to create is https://h5p.org/node/212204)

EDIT: It appeared just now.

Hi Rigo,

No apologies I don't mind :-) New forum topics appears in the list of contents on your account since the paging that is used is the same. Also new topics don't get published immediately to make sure that the forums don't get spammed. We review these posts regularly and publish them asap. BTW I already published your post.

Please see the attached files.

Hi Harish,

Now I understand this more clearly. The activities included in the second example are non-quiz type which is why there is no summary slide which was designed to provide a "summary" of quiz type interactions that where given. Imoo and looking at this case there is a need for the creation of the summary slide even for non-quiz type activities. I suggest that you head over to the Feature Request forum and post the request there. I think the best workaround for now is add a quiz-type activity with a simple question so as to trigger the summary slide.

Furthermore the surface mode deactivating the summary slide I believe is an expected behavior. I have raised this with our core team and you follow the progress here.
