Uploaded Interactive Video not loading

vev1's picture

Also, clicking 'Edit' just hangs on 'loading...'

I tried this with the same .h5p on 2 different websites, it is working (loading) fine on the wesbite with old version 1.7.11.

The website with 1.7.12 seems to be the problem.

Cheers

Hi,

Thank you for reporting the bug. Can you please help us by providing some more information. Which browser and which system (Moodle, Drupal or WordPress) are you using?

And can you check the error log in the browser? Press the F12 button on the keyboard. And select "Console". And then copy the content a comment here.

Thanks alot!

Hi, it's WordPress, and I'm using Chrome on a Mac. The F12 key didn't do anything, so I opened it in Safari and the same thing happened. But I have the error log attached from Safari.

Thanks!

Hi! It actually looks like there's something wrong with the data delivered from your site. It's hard to tell exactly what it could be without inspecting the data returned in the network tab. It could be another plugin interfering with the data delivered or that there's something wrong with the content type data. Does this happen for all content types? Did you update any other plugins?
The 1.7.12 was only some bugfixes and nothing that should interfere with the editing.

The easiest way of determining what it could be is if you could create me a temporary author account just so I could have a look at the create new content page. If this is doable you can send the login info to frode.petterson (at) joubel.com

Hi Frode,

I have created an author account for you. You should receive an email soon. I tried a different Interactive Video (fabi.h5p) that I made some time ago. It allowed me to edit, but as (deprecated). Maybe you can test one of yours on the site.

Thanks for your help,

Veronica :)

I had a quick look and it looks like no data is returned. Not sure why but there could be some error messages in the web server's error_log file if you have access to check that.

What you could try is to download the latest updated content types through the h5p file attachment on the Update/install all recommended content types page. This file is then uploaded to the H5P Libraries section on your page. This may fix the issue if it's caused by a missing file or something.

Let me know how it goes.

I updated the content types but still no joy with that particular one. I think I shall just have to recreate it. Maybe it is specific to that file.

Thank you for your help!

You could try upgrading the old content to the newest version, following the description at the Update/install all recommended content types page.

Thank you, upgrading worked!! :)

I have several versions of libraries, for example Interactive Video has 1.4.0. 1.10.3, 1.13.0, 1.15.0... should these old versions be there? If not how to delete?

Hi! I'm very glad to hear that you got it working.

You don't really have to worry about the old versions. Currently, it's a bit cumbersome to remove them but we have planned a better system for handling and cleaning up old versions that is coming in a later update.

Ok, tryiing to recreate it, after I entered the VIMEO link, I clicked Create and it says 'Invalid Library'.

I did give it a title and choose 'Interactive Video'.

There is a bug in the current version of Interactive Video. You have to press the 'Interactions' tab before saving. This will be fixed in the next version.
